DuctSox - All Fabric D-Fuser

All-Fabric™ D-Fuser™ Addition to DuctSox’s LabSox® Laboratory HVAC is Industry First.
DuctSox, Dubuque, Iowa, a leading fabric HVAC duct systems manufacturer, has introduced the All-Fabric™ D-Fuser™ addition to the LabSox Series of air dispersion products specially designed for research laboratories, pharmaceutical manufacturing, and other critical environments applications.

The All-Fabric D-Fuser features a fabric backpanel, which adds a lower discharge velocity vs. the MetalPan™ (metal backpan) of the original D-Fuser. The new fabric backpanel combined with a nine-inch-deep fabric face three inches deeper than the original D-Fuser to increase internal mixing volume and yield 35-percent more surface area --offers the laboratory industry’s quietest, most even, and lowest HVAC discharge velocities of 33-fpm and 63-fpm at 750-cfm for the 2x8-foot and 2x4-foot models, respectively. Low discharge velocities with little or no turbulence are critical for proper lab fume hood exhaust performance.

An aluminum face frame, which universally installs easily to suspended T-Bar and finished ceiling configurations, securely fastens the fabric backpanel and face, but also allows quick removal for maintenance.

The All-Fabric D-Fuser offers Surround Flow™ for uniform airflow patterns and minimum turbulence or the Select Flow™, which offers nine different factory-engineered vent patterns for customized directional airflow control. Like other LabSox models, the All-Fabric D-Fuser uses highly-permeable, non-shedding Rx fabrics made of “green” 50-percent post-recycled polyester filament featuring an anti-microbial treatment.

Besides the All-Fabric D-Fuser and the original MetalPan D-Fuser, the LabSox Series also includes the traditional Cylindrical, D-Shape for finished ceilings, and Quarter Round for corners. The LabSox Series offers engineers greater flexibility for new construction, retrofit and reconfigured laboratory HVAC design.
