How long has DuctSox been in business?
Ductsox have been manufactured in our Dubuque, IA plant since the early 1980's.
What are the available diameter sizes?
Standard sizes are 6"- 84" diameters.
What are the available lengths of a DuctSox® system?
Each system is custom made per application requirements, ranging from a few feet to a few hundred feet.
What size DuctSox® are kept in stock?
None, only raw materials are stocked. Every DuctSox® system is engineered and 100% custom made to ensure optimum air distribution.
Are there static pressure requirements for DuctSox systems?
Yes, we recommend an averge operating pressure of 0.5 in w.g. - with a complete operating range of 3/8" - 3" maximum.
Are DuctSox® available in more that one color?
Yes, we offer a variety of colors to choose from. Each product line has standard color offerings. Depending upon which product line and fabric is right for your application you will have option to select from additional colors or even specify your own custom color!
Will DuctSox® condensate?
Yes and no depending upon selected fabric. Non-porous DuctSox® fabrics will condense if the conditions are right. Porous DuctSox® fabric will not to condensate because the airflow pattern around the DuctSox® keeps the warm moist air off the walls of the DuctSox®.
As a rule of thumb, if single wall uninsulated metal will condensate, so will non-porous DuctSox fabrics.
What is the maximum inlet velocity?
1600 FPM or less on straight runs. 1400 FPM or less for runs with fittings.
Are DuctSox® UL classified?
Yes, all DuctSox fabrics meet or exceed the smoke development and flame spread test requirements of NFPA 90-A . Sedona, Stat-X, TufTex and PolyTex are UL classified.
What is the difference in cost?

How difficult is it to install a DuctSox system?

What does the AC167 test consist of and why is that important?
AC 167 tests for mold, bacteria, and high temperature resistancy, this benifits the fabric due to erosion and fire risks.
